Times Square Take Over
American Immersion Theater is partnering with the Times Square Alliance and Carmine's to put on one of the most epic immersive moments in Times Square History. This will be Times Square's official kick-off to Spooky season. However, we can't do it without YOU!
What is Spirits?
Spirits, is Times Square's newest immersive haunted experience. The tale follows Olive Thomas, an out-of-work jazz starlet who makes a deal with the devil to get the voice of an angel. Uncover her rise and fall at a 1920s speakeasy as you sip on vintage cocktails, listen to live music, and explore the world of the dead.
Event Details
When: 8 PM meet-up on Saturday, October 4th. You will be fully released at 9 PM.
Where: Meet up at Carmine's in Times Square
200 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036
Please meet in front of Carmine's and do not go in, it's very busy on a Saturday and you'll be hard to find.
What Are We Doing?
Times Square will be barricading the area in front of the old Good Morning America building for our cast member to sing. She will have a small band with her. At 8:30 PM the largest billboard in Times Square will begin to change, first promoting her, then it will change to "Beware of Spirits" at that time, we will have YOU and an army of other people dressed as Spirits descend on her and take her away.
What Exactly Would I Be Doing?
We need people of all ages, sizes, and experience to become our "Spirits". We will provide masks, cloaks, and directions. You will wear a cloak and a mask (contacts preferred), and you will walk in a large group of other spirits to descend on a Spirits cast member. It's a simple walk from Carmine's to the building across the street. Each person will get simple directions to make this an unforgettable experience.

Is this paid?
Anyone who participates is welcome to stay for the show that night! This will include a complimentary dessert bar and show.
Can we video this?
Yes, you can video it and post it on social media.
Does everyone know what's supposed to happen?
The Times Square Alliance has alerted all police, fire, and authorities to let them know exactly what is happening. They are very behind this event and are excited to officially welcome Spooky season into New York!
